Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil assessed a five-minute boarding penalty and was ejected from the game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

During the second period of Monday night's game between the Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks, Martin Pospisil was assessed a five-minute major for boarding Taylor Hall, which resulted in a game ejection.

The 25-year-old, who has 12 points in 41 games, leads the Flames with 51 penalty minutes but will add to his total after the hit on Hall.

Interestingly, before Monday night, Pospisil had drawn 20 penalties and taken 17, which leads the team in each category. However, he's chasing his teammate Ryan Lomberg (six) in major penalties, collecting his fourth against Chicago.

Initially drafted in the fourth round (105th overall) in 2018, Pospisil has ten goals and 36 points in 104 games with 160 penalty minutes. In the calendar year of 2024, he led the NHL with 148 penalty minutes.
