The final sheet of ice in the storied history of the Scotiabank Saddledome has officially been laid, marking the beginning of the building’s final chapter as the home of the Calgary Flames.
To commemorate the milestone, the ice features the Farewell Season logo proudly displayed at centre ice, while also carrying a special tribute beneath the surface - the names of Season Ticket Members who have helped shape the ‘Dome’s 44-year legacy.
It’s a fitting way to celebrate a building that has been home to countless memories, from unforgettable playoff runs to generations of Flames fans making the trip through the doors.
The 2026-27 season will mark the final year for the Scotiabank Saddledome before the Flames move into their new home, Scotiabank Place, for the start of the 2027-28 season, closing one era of Calgary hockey history while preparing to open the next.
