The Calgary Flames made some roster adjustments on Tuesday afternoon, recalling Tyson Barrie and Adam Klapka from the AHL.

The Calgary Flames made a few roster adjustments before Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

There are a few opportunities in the Flames lineup with defenseman Kevin Bahl injured. Meanwhile, Rory Kerins was returned to the Calgary Wranglers in preparation for the upcoming AHL All-Star Classic.

Ultimately, this means there are some opportunities for players to step up and get into the lineup.

Today, the Flames recalled defenseman Tyson Barrie, who spent the weekend with the Wranglers and had a goal and two assists in two games. Additionally, Adam Klapka is coming up for his second stint in the NHL this season.

As a free agent, Barrie came to the Flames this past offseason and skated in nine games, scoring a goal and assist for two points. He hasn't skated in the NHL since Nov. 12.

Moreover, the 24-year-old Klapka is back in the NHL, having played five games in October and last appearing in a Calgary sweater on Nov. 30. Thus far, Klapka had no points in 2024-25, and one career goal.

According to the projected lineups on NHL.com, Barrie and Klapka will be in the lineup, and they will help the Flames try to contain Alex Ovechkin and the top-seeded Washington Capitals.
