Before the Calgary Wranglers' game against the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the team announced that veteran Jarred Tinordi, son of NHL veteran Mark Tinordi, would have season-ending surgery for a lower-body injury.

In his last contest on Feb. 15 against the Ontario Reign, Tinordi departed in the first period after falling awkwardly while tangled with a Reign player. He hasn't skated since, and on Saturday, the team announced he would be done for the remainder of the season.
During his first campaign with the Wranglers, the 33-year-old from Burnsville, MN, had a goal and five points in 30 games. This season marked the first time he skated in the AHL since the 2021-22 season when he was a member of the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The veteran of 205 NHL games with six teams is no stranger to AHL fans. Over ten seasons, Tinordi has skated in the league with several clubs, including the Milwaukee Admirals, where he was captain from 2018 to 2020.
In 459 games, he's scored 22 goals and 101 points, which compares to his four goals and 30 points in the NHL.
Tinordi wasn't the only Wranglers player listed in the latest injury report, as Dryden Hunt is day-to-day while expecting a child.
The 29-year-old recently played a game with the Calgary Flames before the 4 Nations Face-off break and was not recalled to the team ahead of their game against the San Jose Sharks. Hunt currently ranks second in team scoring with 12 goals and 43 points in 43 games.
The Wranglers play Coachella Valley on Saturday, and then there will be a rematch against the Reign on Sunday.
