The Carolina Hurricanes will look to stay undefeated as they take on the Anaheim Ducks Sunday night.
It will the second game of the Hurricanes' season-long, six-game road trip.
The Canes are coming off of a 6-5 shootout win against the LA Kings just one day prior and it was a game that was certainly not their best. They blew leads of 3-0 and 5-2 before ultimately prevailing in the ninth round of the shootout thanks to a Jordan Martinook master class.
Carolina will be hoping for a better effort tonight as they take on what many are considering to be a team solidly in the running for the draft lottery.
The Ducks played last night as well, losing their season opener 4-1 to the Vegas Golden Knights. They were outshot 38-23.
Despite the supposed mismatch, Anaheim has been a team that has stumped the Canes in years past. In their last 10 meetings, the Hurricanes are just 3-3-4 against the Ducks and have lost the last two.
