The Carolina Hurricanes announced their pre-season exhibition game schedule Friday afternoon, and once again, they will be having a southern hockey exhibition for their pre-season games.
The schedule will kick off with back-to-back games at PNC Arena against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers on September 26 and 27 - both games will start at 7 p.m. - before the Canes head down to Florida for the second games against both opponents.
While the second game against the Bolts at Amalie Arena is set for September 29 at 7 p.m., the game at FLA Live Arena is still to be determined.
A week after those games though, the Hurricanes will head to Nashville and Bridgestone Arena for an 8 p.m. game against the Nashville Predators on October 5 before returning home the following day to PNC Arena for the final pre-season game at 7 p.m. on October 6.
The Hurricanes have faced both the Lightning and Predators in each of the last two season for their exhibition games, but will add the Stanley Cup runner-up Panthers to the mix this season.
The Canes were set to play Florida last preseason, but those games ended up being cancelled due to the threat of severe weather conditions associated with Hurricane Nicole.
Ticket sale information will be announced at a later date per the team.
