    The Carolina Hurricanes announced today the team has hired Tyler Dellow as Assistant GM and have promoted Darren Yorke to Associate GM.

    The Carolina Hurricanes announced some organizational moves to their front staff today.

    GM Eric Tulsky announced the hire of Tyler Dellow as Assistant GM as well as the promotion of Darren Yorke to Associate GM.

    In the press release GM Eric Tulsky said the following of Dellow and Yorke;

    “Tyler has an encyclopedic knowledge of hockey data and is both creative and detail-oriented in applying it to building understanding of performance and tactics,” said Tulsky. “He is also an attorney with extensive experience in negotiation, and a strategic thinker who sees the big picture. Tyler is a strong manager who cares deeply about employee development.

    Tyler Dellow started his NHL career as a Team Consultant in the Edmonton Oilers front office from 2014-2016. Dellow then joined the New Jersey Devils organization in 2019 and worked as the teams Director of Analytics for the last 5 seasons.

    Darren Yorke will take on the role as Associate GM in which he will become the General Manager of the Chicago Wolves, the AHL affiliate for the Carolina Hurricanes.

    “Darren has been instrumental in overhauling the way we draft and develop players. In addition to his keen eye for players, he has a strong instinct for organizational process and a thorough understanding of every element of team operations. I am supremely confident that Darren is deserving of an increased role, and I’m proud to work alongside him, Tyler and the rest of our hockey operations staff as we move towards our goal of bringing the Stanley Cup back to Raleigh.”

    Yorke has been in the Hurricanes organization since 2010, working as a Video Scout until 2017. Yorke then moved over to the role of Director of Scouting for one year in 2018 before getting into the Department of Player Development where he served until 2020. Yorke has since been serving as the teams Assistant GM before today's promotion.
