The Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals finally have a date for Game 1 of their second-round series... but that's about it.

While we now know that Game 1 will be on Tuesday, May 6 at Capital One Arena in D.C., we don't know the time of puck drop nor do we know the dates of any other games.

And we only learned the date of the first game after the league sent out an email about it after midnight on Saturday.

That's the NHL for you.

We can at least potentially predict when Game 3 and 4 in Raleigh will be thanks  to Lenovo Center's event calendar. The arena is already booked for Friday (May 9), Sunday (May 11) and Tuesday (May 13), meaning that those games almost certainly have to take place on Saturday and Monday or Monday and Wednesday.

There are still two games left in the first round out West and it seems like the TV rights holders are waiting to see how they want to structure the schedule.

So we'll wait and see if they release the schedule Saturday night or Sunday, but we do at least know that Game 1 between Carolina and Washington will be Tuesday and air exclusively on ESPN.
