The final pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2024 NHL Draft was Russian to nobody's surprise as the Canes took Andrei Krutov 220th overall.

The sixth player from Russia selected by the Canes, Krutov had a strong season in the MHL last year with 21 goals and 50 points in 41 games.

Krutov has above average offensive skills, primarily with shooting and passing the puck.
