The Carolina Hurricanes are going to need to take out a timeshare in Russia with all the prospects they've been stockpiling from there.

With their fifth Russian pick of the draft, the Canes selected 6-foot-3 forward Fyodor Avramov with the 188th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

The 190-pound, physical winger had a big year in the MHL with 23 goals and 44 points in 41 games with Kapitan Stupino.

His big plus outside of his size and strength is his shot.
