The Carolina Hurricanes added their sixth player of the 2025 NHL Draft, selecting Swedish winger Viggo Nordlund 183rd overall.

Nordlund, 18, is a smaller-framed forward (5-foot-9, 168 pounds), but has a potential high-offensive upside.

The speedy winger had 24 goals and 49 points in 40 games with Skelleftea AIK J20 in the Swedish Junior League, the same team as Carolina 2024 draftee Oskar Vuollet.
