What - Preseason Game 6
When - 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6
Where - PNC Arena; Raleigh, NC
How to Watch - The game will be livestreamed on the team's website.
The Carolina Hurricanes will play their final preseason game of the year tonight as they host the Nashville Predators.
The Canes will be icing as close to an opening night roster as one could expect, although there is still the absence of Andrei Svechnikov, who is still recovering from knee surgery.
However, Rod Brind'Amour isn't too concerned with Svechnikov's status.
"Svech is so close," Brind'Amour said. "We're going to test him again Monday and make another evaluation. He's right around the corner."
This Hurricanes will be rolling an 11/7 lineup, meaning they will only have 11 forwards but seven defensemen playing. This is partly due to Svechnikov's unavailability and Brendan Lemieux having played last night, but also the fact that the Canes have seven legitimate defensemen they need to sort out.
This will also be Jaccob Slavin's 2023-24 preseason debut as he had yet to play in one this season.
Frederik Andersen is expected to go the distance in net.
