What - Game 9 (4-4-0)
When - 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27
Where - PNC Arena; Raleigh, NC
How to Watch - Bally Sports South

The Carolina Hurricanes will face the San Jose Sharks in just their third home game of the season tonight at PNC Arena.

The Hurricanes got back in the win column last night as they mustered a multi-goal comeback effort capped off by a Martin Necas overtime winner to beat the Seattle Kraken 3-2.

It was a step in the right direction for Carolina who not only looked strong offensively, but also defensively.

Despite the two quick goals against, the Canes played a solid defensive game against the Kraken and they'll hope to replicate that performance tonight.

The Hurricanes will also welcome Andrei Svechnikov back to the active roster as it was announced today that he was off of IR and would be making his season debut.

Antti Raanta is expected to start tonight as Frederik Andersen played last night against the Kraken.

The Sharks continue to struggle to start the season, coming off a 6-0 shutout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning just last night.

They've scored just seven goals in eight games this year and nothing seems to be going right for them.

As we've seen, that doesn't mean they won't score tonight, but San Jose is probably going to finish as the league's worst team by the end of the year.
