Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis returned to practice today after missing the last four games due to an upper-body injury.
Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour stated that Jarvis would more than likely be on the ice this week and it seems like he was right on the money.
Brind'Amour also seemed to suggest that the injury wasn't too serious as that he probably could have played through it.
"He wants to play," Brind'Amour said. "He's old school in that way, that's for sure. You have to kind of yank him out of the lineup. But like I said, hopefully that won't be too long."
Jarvis, 22, is an integral part of the Hurricanes' core and a big loss, but the team has managed to go 3-1-0 without him so far.
The forward has four goals and 11 points in 13 games so far this season, but it doesn't look like he's quite yet ready to return.
"The fact that he's out there is good news and I guess we'll just see where it goes, but not sure," Brind'Amour said when asked if Jarvis would be joining the team for their upcoming three-game road trip. "I haven't even talked to him yet. I didn't even know how he was going to feel today. I mean, it's one practice and we didn't really get him involved too much. So probably very doubtful for tomorrow, but we'll see."
While his status is still officially up in the air, sources say that Jarvis will more than likely not be available for the road trip as he continues to rehab from an upper-body injury.
