The Carolina Hurricanes have announced the signing of William Carrier to a six-year, $2 million AAV contract.
“William is a physical forward who competes hard at both ends of the ice,” said Carolina general manager Eric Tulsky. “He is relentless on the forecheck and difficult to play against. We’re excited to add his veteran presence to our lineup.”
Carrier, 29, is a large-bodied, physical depth forward who can push play on both ends of the ice.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound winger played in just 39 games last season due to an upper-body injury but has 413 games of NHL experience under his belt, including a Stanley Cup Championship in 2023 with the Vegas Golden Knights.
