The Hurricanes returned to camp after taking Sunday off.

The Carolina Hurricanes revealed the new Lenovo Center signage.

The Carolina Hurricanes returned to the ice today for Day 4 of training camp at the Lenovo Center following an off-day on Sunday for the Canes5K.

The day started off with the C2, prospects and PTOs, group and Scott Morrow was once again among the skaters after missing the last two days of camp.

Special teams played a big part of camp today as the groups started to prepare for the pre-season which begins tomorrow.

The group also did a good bit of 5v5 work as well as some forechecking drills, because after all, this is a Carolina Hurricanes training camp.

In addition, we had not just one but two shootout goals scored today amongst the C2 group as both Gleb Trikozov and Aleksi Heimosalmi beat Ruslan Khazheyev.

The C1 group did much of the same work, mostly 5v5 battles and special teams work, and the group had the same lines, pairs and units as the previous two days.

After the main group skated, William Carrier, who's been out with a lower-body injury since Day 1 of camp, skated on his own so perhaps his return is close.

Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour

On how good it can be for Seth Jarvis to have all the contract stuff squared away for awhile: I think it's always good to get contracts out of the way so guys don't have to deal with it. I don't know if it affects you much. I mean, your job whether you're on a 100-year deal or a one-year deal, you go out and play. But you don't have to hear about it and talk about it. There's some peace of mind for the player, that's for sure.

On it being a similar thing for Martin Necas: I hope so. He's kind of gone through it all his life here it feels like. We're always having to talk about it. But I think not having to everyday have the question about what's next. We clearly don't have to deal with that, but I think it's peace of mind.

On if he has his roster for tomorrow planned out: Yeah, we planned it out, but everything changes day-to-day. It's going to be very similar to the past six years we've done it.

On working with the prospects: It's been pretty good. It's nice to have it the way we've set it up so we're not stopping everything. You have one group that should know what's going on a little better. Even though you have new guys, you can just follow the lead. You know the other group doesn't have that, so you go in there expecting that, but I think the young guys, if you will, have done a good job.
