The NHL has announced the finalists for the Lady Byng award and yet again, as expected, Jaccob Slavin is a finalist.

The Lady Byng is awarded annually "to the player who best combines sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct with a high standard of playing ability."

The veteran defender had six goals and 37 points in 81 games this season and took just four penalties all year, some of which were delay of games.

The other two finalists are Toronto's Auston Matthews and Vancouver's Elias Pettersson.

Slavin won the Lady Byng in 2021 and was the runner-up for it in 2022 and finished fourth for it in 2023.

The cats been out of the bag for a while now on how good of a player Slavin is and so he's been getting plenty of respect from the national media.

On top of being one of the purest souls in hockey, he also gets the toughest matchups night in and night out and usually comes out ahead and never takes penalties.

And let's be real, there's nobody who is more gentlemanly in the game...
