It seems that there will be a last minute change to the Carolina Hurricanes lineup tonight for Game 2 as Max Comtois is anticipated to make his Hurricanes playoff debut in place of Evgeny Kuznetsov.
Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour stated that he didn't anticipate any roster changes just hours before game time, so it's seems like it's a last minute thing.
Comtois, who the Canes signed as a free agent midway through the season, appeared in just one game for Carolina this season, registering one assist.
However, Comtois did have 19 goals and 44 points in 65 games with the Chicago Wolves this season.
Kuznetsov has two goals and four points in six postseason games so far with Carolina and has been centering the fourth line and helping run PP2.
He's a dynamic player and has given the Canes a good boost of offense, but to be fair, his game isn't as ideal for a fourth liner.
But he's still a proven performer and he's provided that depth scoring that is needed in the playoffs.
Comtois will join Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Stefan Noesen on the Canes' fourth line.
