The Carolina Hurricanes may be without their number one centerman tonight.

As the Canes took the ice this morning for their pre-skate before facing off against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight, Sebastian Aho was not among the group.

"He didn't feel well when he showed up so we sent him back home and we'll see how he feels later today," said coach Rod Brind'Amour following practice.

With Aho out, the Canes had Jack Roslovic centering Mikko Rantanen and Jackson Blake and although Tyson Jost did practice, he isn't close to returning yet.

So if Aho is indeed out, that look will probably be the only new line combination and Riley Stillman will draw back in as the seventh defenseman

The Hurricanes have already dealt with a bit of illness troubles as of late as Roslovic was forced to miss Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers due to being sick and those two certainly won't be the last.

"It's tough," Brind'Amour said. "It pretty much ends up pretty much running through everybody. Just the nature of it. We try to keep guys that are sick away and not have them come in like today when you're not feeling great. But it's that time of year."
