The Carolina Hurricanes are still awaiting an update on winger Andrei Svechnikov after the forward left Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.
Svechnikov, 24, took an awkward hit from Adam Lowry halfway through the third period and looked to be in discomfort as he went to the bench.
The winger played just one more shift following the hit, a 20-second spin out on the ice, but he did not finish the game, even missing out on the final power play.
"He played, said he did something, then played a little after and said it didn't feel right," said Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour.
Svechnikov was also not at practice on Monday and Brind'Amour still did not have an update on his status.
"He wasn't feeling great today so he's getting checked out right now," Brind'Amour said. "Until I hear something, I have no idea."
Svechnikov, who currently has 18 goals and 43 points in 63 games, has dealt with quite a few injuries throughout his career, including a post-deadline ACL tear that ended his season in 2022-23.
