It took nine games, but Taylor Hall has finally notched his first goal as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes.
In the second period of the Canes' Thursday night game against the Buffalo Sabres, Hall found himself on the receiving end of a brilliant setup by Jack Roslovic.
After Sean Walker jumped up to keep the puck in at the blueline, Roslovic picked up the loose puck off of Sabres goaltender James Reimer's pads and no-look passed it behind him to the awaiting Hall, who made no mistake in slamming the puck home into the open net.
Hall, 33, has been a solid fit in Carolina so far even without a ton of points to show for it.
Across his first eight games, the former MVP is third amongst Hurricanes skaters in shot generation (60.85 CF%) and fifth in expected goals (60.35 xGF%).
He's played well and shown off a lot of vision, and finally, he's been rewarded for his play.

The often overlooked part of the Carolina Hurricanes' blockbuster trade this past January that saw them acquire Mikko Rantanen from the Colorado Avalanche for Martin Necas and Jack Drury was that the Canes also acquired forward Taylor Hall from the Chicago Blackhawks.
