The Carolina Hurricanes will be without a trio of regulars tonight as they take on the Detroit Red Wings.

Jordan Staal, Andrei Svechnikov and Dmitry Orlov are all out of the lineup tonight and will not play according to Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour.

"I didn't think it was gonna be serious and I still don't," Brind'Amour said when asked about Svechnikov specifically. "I think it's similar to what we're doing with Jordo. Just precautionary really, but he pulled himself out of the game. Didn't feel great the other night. So I'll guess we'll know more when we get back."

Staal has missed the team's last two games due to a lower-body injury and Svechnikov left Wednesday's game against Washington early.

Orlov's status is unknown, but he finished the game Wednesday and practiced with the team Friday morning, although as an extra.

Scott Morrow and Justin Robidas will draw into the lineup for the two Russians.
