Edmonton Oilers Zach Hyman is expected to make his season debut on Saturday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Oilers sent Issac Howard down to the American Hockey League, while placing troy Stecher on waivers, clearing up enough roster spots for Hyman to play against the Hurricanes.

Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch also said that he expects Hyman to return for their matchup vs. Carolina.

Hyman was placed on long-term injured reserve before the start of the 2025-26 season.
