The Carolina Hurricanes are down south tonight to take on the Florida Panthers (7-4-1) for the first game of a weekend back-to-back.
The Canes enter having won two overtime games in a row and five of their last six overall. Florida also enters tonight's game having won two straight overtime games and three of their last four.
This will be the first regular season meeting between the two teams since they met in the Eastern Conference Final of last year's playoff. The Panthers defeated the Hurricanes in four games before losing in five to the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Hurricanes may see the return of Brett Pesce who's missed the last eight games due to a lower-body injury. If he's back in, expect Tony DeAngelo to be scratched and Dmitry Orlov to take over as PP1 quarterback.
