
The NHL has revealed the initial 2024 NHL All-Star selections for all 32 teams and, to nobody's surprise, Sebastian Aho was selected as the Carolina Hurricanes' nominee.
Aho currently leads the Canes in goals (15) and points (43) and sits 15th in the entire league in scoring.
He was named the NHL's First Star of the Week last week and is currently on a five-game point streak (3g, 10a).
He's been a dominant force for Carolina and the driving force behind their current success, so he was a no-brainer really.
It will be the Finnish center's third career All-Star appearance, also having gone in 2019 and 2022.
This year, the NHL is bringing back the All-Star draft in order to decide the four team's rosters and the four captains are going to want to make sure to snatch Aho up.
Because Aho has never lost an All-Star game in which he's participated in and even won the Accuracy Shooting competition in 2022 in the Skills Competition portion of the weekend.
The 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto will take place Feb. 1-3. Thursday, Feb. 1 will feature the All-Star draft, Friday will feature the skills competition and the actual games will take place on Saturday.
