What - Game 8 (3-4-0)
When - 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26
Where - PNC Arena; Raleigh, NC
How to Watch - Bally Sports South

The Carolina Hurricanes will look to get revenge and end their three-game slide as they return home to PNC Arena to take on the Seattle Kraken.

The Canes finished their season-long, six-game road trip 2-4-0, ending with a 3-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

On that trip, the Hurricanes also lost Sebastian Aho, Frederik Andersen and Brett Pesce for different lengths of time and fell below 0.500 for the first time since 2018.

Now, with some key players expected to return to the roster, the Canes may be able to start righting the ship.

After Wednesday's practice, head coach Rod Brind'Amour hinted that both Andersen and Andrei Svechnikov could return to game-action tonight.

Here's what Brind'Amour said on Andersen:

"I'm anticipating he'll give us the go tomorrow and if he does, we'll put him in."

On Svechnikov:

"We're kind of at the point where it's in his hands. When he gives us the green light, we're going to definitely chuck him in there. We're counting the days. Whether it's tomorrow or the next game, I think we're definitely right around the corner."

Svechnikov was also practicing on PP1 at practice alongside Tony DeAngelo, Teuvo Teravainen, Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis.

PP2 was composed of Brent Burns, Michael Bunting, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Martin Necas and Stefan Noesen.

While that news bodes well, there was however some bad news in terms of injury updates. It was revealed that defenseman Brett Pesce underwent surgery for a lower-body injury on Tuesday and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

The Hurricanes have had troubles defending this season and losing Pesce certainly won't help with that.

However, the Canes have gotten better as the season has progressed and there's hope that they could be turning a corner. We'll see if that's the case tonight.
