Per Carolina Hurricanes team reporter Walt Ruff, the Canes have inked yet another forward to a PTO, this time bringing in defensive-specialist Zach Aston-Reese.
The 29-year-old forward has appeared in 307 NHL games, registering 42 goals and 80 points over that span.
Regarded as a defense-first type of player, Aston-Reese has played for three NHL clubs over his career - Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Looks like a Carolina Hurricanes player to me.
The New York native is now the seventh PTO signed by the Hurricanes and with training camp a week away, it's probably the final one.
Aston-Reese joins Nathan Beaulieu, Nick Shore, Brendan Perlini, Cory Conacher, Kieffer Bellows and Jayden Halbgewachs.
