The Hartford Whalers are once again back for one night only this year, but this time the signature white jerseys will be making their return to the ice.

What has now become an annual tradition over the past five seasons, the Carolina Hurricanes will honor their franchise's past by donning the look of the Whalers.

The Canes initially brought the green jersey's out of retirement for the first Whalers Night in 2018 and have even spiced it up with a grey reverse retro look in 2021, but this will be the first time the white jersey's have appeared in an NHL game since 1997.

The team will also wear cooperalls, which the Philadelphia Flyers first brought back as part of last year's reverse retro look, during warmups to really turn up the authenticity factor.

And guess who else is back? Pucky the Whale returns on the shoulder patch of this year's jersey as well. He was present on the reverse retro jersey, but not on the green jerseys.

The team will don the retro jerseys for one night only, Feb. 10 against the New Jersey Devils.

The Hurricanes are 4-0-3 as the Whalers.
