Who's ready for a 'Marty Party?'
Well thanks to Jordan Martinook and R&D Brewing, you can have your very own.
The 'Marty Party' is a Mexican-style lager produced by R&D Brewing, a Raleigh-based brewery.
Martinook teased the release a week earlier on his Twitter, posting a picture of him in the R&D production facility.
And just today, he made the announcement official.
The release is set for September 9 and Martinook will be hosting a release party for the drink at Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard in Raleigh from 4pm to 9pm.
The party is scheduled to have live music, with performances by Backburner - a Raleigh-based Rock and Americana band- and Four Founders - a Raleigh-based group whose music spans multiple genres from southern rock to blues.
General admission is $18 which will allow access to the event and participation in raffles and games.
Interested parties can also purchase a VIP admission for $55 which includes everything in the general admission along with access to a special VIP area with its own bar, up close and personal sessions with Martinook as well as the chance to dunk the Hurricane into a dunk tank.
For both ticket types, tables are available on a first come, first serve basis. The event is open to all ages, although children ages 6 and up will need a ticket. Tickets can be purchased here.
In addition, 10% of beer sales at the event will go to A Doorway to Hope, "a Christian organization serving working, low income families who are at a crisis point and need a helping hand."
