There's a lot of players that the "Player of the Game" honor to go to after the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 comeback victory over the New York Islanders Thursday night.

Game Recap: Canes Rally Back to Steal Win On the Island

You could pick one of either Jalen Chatfield or Dmitry Orlov for not only starting the comeback, but also for each scoring their first goals of the season, the latter of which was his first as a Hurricane.

There's also Jesperi Kotkaniemi who scored the game-tying goal, or Andrei Svechnikov who set up the game-tying goal or even Stefan Noesen who made the whole play happen by forcing a turnover off of a lost faceoff draw.

What about Sebastian Aho who scored the overtime winner, securing the victory?

All of these would be great picks for "Player of the Game," but I just want to bring special attention to one particular player.

Jaccob Slavin was an absolute force for the Hurricanes. While he might not have been on the ice for any of the goals the Canes scored, Slavin was on the ice for 46 even-strength chance for.

    46!

    And only 13 against.

That's just an absolutely absurd amount of offensive generation and he did it all in just 20:49 of 5v5 ice time. The Hurricanes were taking over two shots a minute whenever Slavin was on the ice.

This was just such a crazy number to see that I had to bring attention to it and make him my "Player of the Game" just for the absurdity.

Slavin led the team in shots on goal (7), blocks (2), Corsi For (46) and High-Danger Chances For (11) according to NaturalStatTrick.com.

For his complete and utter dominance over the Isles, I'm naming him my "Player of the Game."
