The Chicago Blackhawks are hosting the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field once again. Fans in the area can attend a free Fan Festival before the game.

The NHL Winter Classic is going to take place at Wrigley Field on December 31st, 2024 between the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.

The home of the Chicago Cubs was already the host venue of an NHL Winter Classic before (2009) and is ready for round two.

These days, the Blackhawks and Blues aren't Western Conference powerhouses anymore but they both have marketable players who will make this Winter Classic a very entertaining game.

Before the game begins, fans can come to Wrigley Field early and enjoy a free Fan Festival that will feature activities, food, giveaways, and a chance to see the Stanley Cup.

Some of the activities include the Discover 'Puck Drop' which is a footprint for fans to participate in. There will be an AI-generated photo opportunity for people to take a center-ice picture for a puck drop in front of iconic Chicago landmarks.

There is also the AstraZeneca Hatty Trick Challenge where fans can test their shooting ability by trying to score a hat trick. There are also going to be some Hockey Fights Cancer trading cards and stickers to grab.

These are just two of the many cool things that people can participate in while attending the event.

This will take place in a parking lot at 1126 W Grace Street. This is open to the public and will begin at 10:30 AM CT and go until 3:30 PM CT. The game will then follow inside of the Friendly Confines at 4 PM.

This is a great chance for fans to take in a full day of hockey-related things and a wonderful scene at a legendary spot.
