On Monday, the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be underway. However, that won’t be the only exciting event in the National Hockey League.
The NHL will conduct the 2025 Draft Lottery at 6 p.m. CT. This will be the first time in league history that the event will be held live.
Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks will certainly be among the most interested. They have the second-best odds for the second year in a row. It is also the second consecutive season in which they finished right below the San Jose Sharks.
Chicago has a 13.5% chance of picking first, a 14.1% chance of picking second, a 30.7% chance of picking third, and a 41.7% chance of picking fourth. They can pick no lower than that.
The drawing will be live, so fans will learn the results at the exact same time as the executives of the participating teams. John Buccigross will host the event on ESPN at 6 PM CT.
After the lottery results are drawn live on air, Kyle Davidson will speak to the media in a presser. That may or may not give some insight as to his thoughts on the pick awarded to him.
Do the Blackhawks want to win the lottery? Would they rather have a chance at Gavin McKenna in 2025-26? The lottery balls will be the judge of their fate on Monday night.
