The Chicago Blackhawks have 11 games scheduled for the month of October.

Finally.

It's the day everyone has been waiting for. Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks kick off their regular season schedule, and the games officially start counting today.

The Blackhawks are playing in one of three games that kick off the regular season (the Devils and Sabres Global series games notwithstanding). Now that the pre-season is complete, most games will be viewable on cable TV in one sense or another. (All times listed in Central Time)

Only four of the Blackhawks opening 11 games of the season will be held at home. Luckily, they only have two back-to-back situations.

Five games start at 8:00 PM or later, and three start at 9:00 or 9:30 PM. It's a tough stretch of games for fans watching at home, but it could be worse.

Hopefully, the team can build on the win they gutted out against the St. Louis Blues in their last pre-season game. Facing both the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets in the first three games of the season is a tough way to start.
