No more messing around, it's time to drop the puck. Today, the Chicago Blackhawks play their first game of the season.
And they'll do it in historic fashion. They will become the first team to play against the Utah Hockey Club tonight.
Here are the lines for the Blackhawks.
Connor Bedard isn't the same player he was last year. He's a bigger, stronger, and has a season of experience behind him. A year of losing will make him even more younger to turn the Blackhawks fortunes around.
Seth Jones will get more help on the back end. The additions of TJ Brodie and Alec Martinez should lighten the defensive load on the team's top defender.

Laurent Brossoit was brought in to strengthen the goalie depth. Unfortunately for the Blackhawks, he is injured to start the year.
Here is how Utah stacks up against the Blackhawks
Newly signed Kailer Yamamoto appears to be a healthy scratch for tonight's game. But he's the least of the Blackhawks worries.
Clayton Keller, Logan Cooley, Dylan Guenther, and Nick Schmaltz are all offensive weapons. Keller lead the team in scoring last season (as the Arizona Coyotes).

Utah made big additions to their defense in the summer. In Mikhail Sergachev, Utah may have a number one defender that every team covets. Ian Cole also joined the team to add to the depth.
Tonight's game begins at 9:00 PM Central Time.
