Veteran forward to have right ACL surgery. Story updated with videos.

Forward Taylor Hall, the 2017-18 Hart Trophy winner the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks acquired to boost their core of young prospects, will undergo right knee surgery and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
According to coach Luke Richardson, Hall needs to have his right ACL repaired. The recovery time is usually at least several months.

Hall's knee was first hurt late in a game at Tampa Bay on Nov. 9 in a collision with Michael Eyssimont and he left the ice hobbling. Hall returned for two games last weekend: On Saturday, Nov. 18 at Nashville and on Sunday in a 3-2 home loss to Buffalo.
The 32-year-old did not dress for Wednesday's 7-3 loss at Columbus. He was in Chicago for further evaluation.
"It just came from an accumulation of a bunch of little injuries in the game, and even in practice the other day,"Richardson said. "It just became unstable and they have to fix that now."
Hall had two goals and two assists in 10 games with Chicago. He started the season on left wing on a line with rookie center Connor Bedard.
Bedard had two goals and two assists in Chicago's 5-3 win over the Lightning two weeks ago. But Richardson thought Hall has "was the strongest forward on the ice that night" before getting hurt in the final minutes. See video.
Hall came to Chicago from the Boston Bruins with Nick Foligno in a trade on June 26. Hall missed time earlier this season with a shoulder injury, suffered on a hit by Brando Carlo in Boston in Chicago's second game.
"It's heartbreaking" Bedard said. "Such a good hockey player. Such a good person and it means so much to your group." See video.
Corey Perry did not practice on Thursday after being a late healthy scratch on Wednesday in an "organizational decision." Like Hall, the 38-year-old Perry was signed to support incoming youngsters like Bedard.
