Most fans could not watch Chicago Blackhawks games during the 2024-25 season because CHSN wasn't available on Xfinity. The cable platform is the most used by folks in the Chicagoland area, so its unavailability impacted many hockey fans.

On Friday, the network announced a carriage agreement that will bring it to Xfinity right away. The home of the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox is now available on channel 200 (and 201 for CHSN+) for all Comcast customers with the Ultimate Package.

CHSN took over for NBC Sports Chicago last year, so it was one season without coverage available to most fans, but they will have to earn them all back over time.

“On behalf of the entire CHSN team, we’re proud to welcome Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers to a network built exclusively for Chicago sports fans,” said Jason Coyle, President of Chicago Sports Network. “With more than 300 live Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox games each year, along with original programming that highlights Chicago’s pro, college, and high school sports, CHSN delivers the most comprehensive and locally focused coverage available. This deal allows us to reach even more fans across the city and suburbs, deepen connections, and reinforce CHSN as the home for Chicago sports all day, every day.”

There will be a lot more to get out of CHSN, including original programming bringing 24-hour coverage of the local sports scene.

“We are excited to bring the White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks to fans across the region with the launch of CHSN for Xfinity TV and Comcast Business customers,” said Chris Smith, Senior Vice President, Comcast Greater Chicago Region.

Any good news is better late than never, and Blackhawks fans will have their team back on their TV at home and on the road again in 2025-26.
