The Chicago Blackhawks have a good player in Teuvo Teravainen. He now has the honor of playing for Team Finland.

The Chicago Blackhawks only had one player make a “Four Nations Faceoff” roster. That person is Teuvo Teravainen who was named to Team Finland.

Teravainen has had an up-and-down season. It doesn’t seem like he’s playing with a lot of confidence right now, but everybody knows how lethal he can be when he is on top of his game.

Teravainen isn’t one of Finland’s top stars the way that Aleksander Barkov, Mikko Rantanen, and Sebastian Aho are but he is a great complimentary piece to those guys. It is fair to assume that he’ll be in the middle six.

Maybe he will get a chance to reunite with Sebastian Aho who Teravainen was wonderful playing with as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes.

After a tough loss to the Boston Bruins on roster reveal day, Teravainen was asked about making Team Finland and how he feels about it:

"It means a lot, of course." Teravainen said when asked about being named to the Finnish roster. "It's always an honor to put the Finnish jersey on. It's great but it's still kind of far away so the only focus is right now here. [I'm in a] bad mood after this game, I don't want to talk too much [about] that".

Teravainen is certainly someone who will wear his country's sweater with pride but he is having a hard time in Chicago right now. He wants to play well for his NHL squad and that is weighing on him.

The Blackhawks need to figure some things out because it is affecting their players as losing is bringing them all down. It is partially on them for underperforming but the team needs to figure out why they're not playing as expected.

Brad Marchand, a winning Boston Bruins team member, was elated to talk about making Team Canada after beating the Hawks at United Center. It would be nice if Teravainen was allowing himself to be excited but he can't.

When the time comes, however, Teravainen will be a great player for Finland. He has incredible skills and will fit in well with all of the superstars that they have playing for them. Having a good team around him will be great for his confidence too.
