The Colorado Avalanche will face off against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday (April 23) for Game 2. This is a must-win game for the Avalanche, as a loss would make them be down 2-0 to the Jets in the series.
With Game 2 just about here, the Avalanche have made a roster move. According to CapFriendly, the Avalanche have placed forward Chris Wagner on waivers.
Wagner, 32, was a healthy scratch for the Avalanche during their Game 1 matchup against the Jets. He was recalled to the NHL roster earlier this weekend.

Wagner appeared in 13 regular-season games with the Avalanche in 2023-24, where he had one goal, one assist, 30 hits, and a plus-3 rating. The veteran forward also played in 21 AHL games with the Colorado Eagles this campaign, posting eight goals, 14 points, and a plus-8 rating.
