The Colorado Avalanche have announced the dates for the 2026-27 season with the brand-new 84-game schedule. Listing all of the home and away games and when they will be starting.

The home opener was revealed, and now the full, brand-new 84-game schedule for the 2026-27 season has been revealed. For the first time in franchise history, the Colorado Avalanche will start a brand-new NHL season in September and play their final game in mid-April before the Stanley Cup playoffs begin.

Alongside the full schedule posted above, which shows all the dates of the home and away games and their start times (all in Mountain Time, MST). They also posted a fun animated video that features the “Lumberyard” of MacKenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood in a novel book, highlighting some key games of the season.

Some key dates this season are:

Halloween at home against the Calgary Flames

New Year's Eve on the road against the Utah Mammoth

Saint Patrick’s Day at home against the Minnesota Wild

This season, the Avalanche won’t have any crazy long stretches away from home, something similar to what they dealt with this past season. This season, their longest road stretch matches their longest home stand, both at five games. However, they will have six back-to-back road games and zero back-to-back home games.

The busiest month this season will be tied with January and March, with 15 games each, while the shortest will be April, with the season coming to an end and only 5 games.
