It was MacKinnon's 1016th point and sits third in all-time points in Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche history behind Peter Stastny (1048) and Joe Sakic (1641). It's fair to say that he will pass Stastny this season, but he still has quite a long time to catch Sakic.
