Their season might be done in the NHL, but at least there is the World Championships.

Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon is one of many NHLers overseas participating in the 2025 World Championships. Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, and Macklin Celebrini are a few other excellent players looking to make a difference for Team Canada.

    Team Canada Line Combinations

The players for Team Canada arrived in Stockholm, Sweden, on Thursday. On Friday, they practiced together for the first time. A few interesting line combinations emerged for Avalanche fans.

Adam Fantilli and Celebrini with Crosby as their center is a fun combination. The two youngsters could soak up much knowledge playing with “Sid the Kid.”

Bo Horvat and Travis Konecny flanked MacKinnon. There is a lot of firepower and speed on this line. It should be fun for Avalanche fans to see how MacKinnon gels with these elite players from other NHL organizations.

On the powerplay, Crosby and MacKinnon are both on the top unit. Horvat, Konecny, and Brandon Montour round out the special teams unit.

Luckily, Avs fans don’t have to wait long to see how these line combinations will gel. However, they must wake up early on Saturday morning to catch the whole game.
