TSN's recent Top 25 NHL players list has three Avalanche stars on it.

The Colorado Avalanche is one of the best teams in the NHL. At the time of this writing, they have a 32-14-3 record and are at the top of the Central Division standings. A big reason for that has been the play of their top players, and they have now been rewarded for that.

TSN recently released their Top 25 NHL Players list for the 2023-24 campaign, and three Avalanche stars rightfully made the cut.

Superstar center Nathan MacKinnon was deemed the NHL's best player by the TSN, beating out generational talent Connor McDavid. Given how marvelously MacKinnon has played this season, it is understandable. In 49 games, he has 31 goals to go along with 84 points. McDavid, on the other hand, still has an outstanding 67 points in 43 games.

The next Avalanche player on the list is superstar defenseman Cale Makar. TSN ranked him at the No. 5 spot, and he was the first defenseman on it. Given how marvelously he has played this season, it is understandable. In 44 games, he has 12 goals to go along with 58 points. With numbers like these, he is, of course, in the Norris Trophy race.

The last Avalanche player who made the cut was Mikko Rantanen at the No. 8 spot. Rantanen is once again one of the NHL's best players this season, as he has 27 goals to go along with 66 points.

Given how excellently this trio has played not only this season but throughout their NHL careers, it is hard to argue against their placements. It will be fun to see how well they do for the remainder of the campaign from here.
