The Jackets upend the mighty Bruins

Spencer Martin shined on Monday night for the Blue Jackets, but the show on this night would belong to the Russians.

Dmitri Voronkov, Ivan Provorov, Yegor Chinakhov, and Kirill Marchenko would all find the back of the net in this game. This is apparently something that's never been done in the NHL. A quirky record where no NHL game has ever saw four Russian born players score in the same game for the same team. Justin Danforth would also score for the Jackets, and even though he is Canadian, we give him a shout out because he also played in the KHL.

The Jackets and Bruins played a really even game for most of the night, but it was the CBJ who would get the puck luck. There were periods where it felt the momentum was shifting back and forth, but Spencer Martin was just too much for the Bruins. They did get a pair of goals late, but it wasn't enough. Martin helped kill off two Bruins power-plays on the night as well. Another funky stat for the night is that Boston had more short-handed shots on goal, than they did shots on the power-play.
