Mathieu Olivier Entering The Season As Key Player For Blue Jackets
Olivier will be once again be an important part of the Blue Jackets' roster this season. His toughness, physicality, and secondary scoring ability makes him a crucial part of Columbus' group. Due to this, he is a player who they will be relying a lot once again this campaign.
Olivier appeared in 61 games last season for the Blue Jackets, where he posted 15 goals, 26 points, 101 penalty minutes, and 209 hits. This was after he had 18 goals, 32 points, 139 penalty minutes, and 306 hits in 82 games during the 2024-25.
With this, Olivier is coming off back-to-back solid seasons with the Blue Jackets and will be looking to have another strong campaign for them in 2026-27. It will be interesting to see what kind of season the seven-year NHL veteran can put together for Columbus from here.
