The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Luke Kunin from the San Jose Sharks.

The Blue Jackets traded a 4th round pick (STL) to the Sharks for Kunin.

But Kunin adds good depth to the roster as they prepare to make a push for the third spot in the Metro.

Kunin, 27, is a 6-foot centre is a pending UFA that is signed to a one-year, $2.75 million contract. The Blue Jackets will likely use him as rental but could work out a deal as the off-season goes on.

He was drafted 15th overall by the Minnesota Wild in 2016, He has scored 73 goals and 142 points in 422 career games split between the Wild, Nashville Predators, and Sharks.
