Hometown hero Luca Pinelli steps onto the NHL ice for his highly anticipated debut against the Maple Leafs tonight.
Columbus Blue Jackets' rookie Luca Pinelli is set to make his NHL debut tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Pinelli, 20, is a native of Stoney Creek, Ontario has an awesome opportunity to play his NHL debut against the team that he grew up watching.
He was originally called up on an emergency basis on Tuesday. Pinelli has scored five goals and five assists for 10 points in 13 games.
Pinelli spent his junior career with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League. During that time, he had a great four seasons. His career-high came during the 2023-24 season, where he had 82 points in 68 games. He was a fourth round pick by the Blue Jackets in the 2023 NHL Draft.
