The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced the signing of Zach Sawchenko to a one-year/two-way contract on Saturday.
Sawchenko went 10-11-5 with a .900 SV% and one shutout in 27 games with Cleveland last season.
With Jet Greaves playing in Columbus next season and Pavel Čajan leaving for Europe, the Monsters are left very young and thin at the goalie position. It's assumed that Nolan Lalonde will also be in Cleveland, but they will need at least one more.
Signing Sawchenko is very good for the Monsters.
