Blue Jackets Strike Early To Upset Visiting Edmonton
Two times in the last two weeks Mathieu Olivier has been challenged to a fight in the first period, and two times Dmitri Voronkov has scored within two minutes of that fight, there's a pattern here I think.
Mathieu Olivier(3), Alex Nylander(5), Dmitri Voronkov(17), and Jack Roslovic(6-EN) all scored in a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.
Columbus was able to not let Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl beat them, and that was the key to victory. Both were able to get an assist but were limited to a combined 3 shots on goal and were fairly invisible most of the night.
The team has now won 3 of their 4 and has beaten teams like Edmonton, Vegas, and New York over the last few weeks. Could things be trending in the right direction?
