Recently, head coach Dean Evason told the media that Erik Gudbranson is close to returning and could be back sometime this week. The Blue Jackets could use another experienced defenseman on their blue line as things tighten up down the stretch.
They’re still waiting on Sean Monahan, who will be a huge boost to their power play once he returns.
