Blue Jackets squandered a two-goal lead, falling 5-3 to Vegas. Now, a daunting road trip continues against league-leading Colorado.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were back in action last night against the Vegas Golden Knights and unfortunately, even after getting off to a hot start, they ended up losing.

The Blue Jackets jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, and just when things were looking like they were in complete control of the game. The Golden Knights scored four unanswered goals, which essentially put the game out of reach. Columbus got one late in the third to cut the lead to 4-3, but just two minutes later, Vegas scored and sealed the deal.

Unfortunately, they blew a 2-0 lead and lost 5-3. Now, they continue their road trip as they head to Denver to take on the Colorado Avalanche. This is going to be a very tough test as they lead the NHL and have only lost four times in regulation.

As of right now, the Blue Jackets currently sit in fifth last in the NHL. The hope is that they can turn things around and go on a run to push into a playoff spot..
